Sometimes our ministry allows us to meet and minister to servicemen from other countries. Some of those we’ve hosted include six young sailors from Brazil when their ship came to Norfolk to participate in combined training exercises. Yvonne and I were on the pier to welcome the F46 Greenhalgh when it arrived on June 13, 2008. We fed them spaghetti, and took them to their first American baseball game. We played croquet in our backyard. And we taught them how to eat pizza with their fingers instead of a knife and fork. We worshipped and prayed together, and shared the gospel with them. While they were in our living room they used Skype to introduce us to their families. And we had an inter-continental time of worship.
